The earth is a dictionary
Turn over the fallen leaves,
it's another journey.
Beneath the soil there is another forest, made of roots, of fungi, of the smallest living things.
Human build the world with language.
The forest has a language of its own.
The microscopic forest below
sustains the immense forest above.
Together the two make one whole world.
A journey into the earth.
All meaning must first be broken down, dissolved, before it can grow.
If you see the small animals,
the ants, the snails, the earthworms, the springtails,
they are the ones who lead the way,
bringing you messages that call you to explore.
At the smallest scale, there is a wide world.
Every fungus is an ancient and mysterious messenger.
They are the threads, the weavers,
the mapmakers of the underground,
welcoming the ending and turning it into a beginning,
wandering between dreams.
Every message is light that comes from the stars.
If you want to read them, first listen to the earth.
